What is FarmCon

This past week members of Farmland Stock Exchange attended FarmCon. FarmCon, known as the "Conference for Creative Minds in Agriculture," is an event designed for owners, founders, partners, and entrepreneurs who are ready to push boundaries in the agricultural sector. It's not your typical conference; it's a series of hands-on workshops, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at those who are not just looking to maintain but to elevate their businesses to new heights. This conference is about challenging norms, embracing new practices, and fostering a community that loves and aims to preserve rural America's essence.

  • Innovation and Learning: FarmCon is a treasure trove of new ideas, from cutting-edge technology in farming to sustainable practices and business strategies. Whether you're interested in row crop operations, specialty crops, or livestock, there's something for everyone. The hands-on workshops are tailored to encourage creativity, discipline, and success.

  • Networking: Imagine being in a room with some of the largest agricultural investors, the most technologically advanced producers, and innovators from across the globe. FarmCon offers a unique platform where start-ups can present their groundbreaking technologies to real producers and investors who have the power to make a difference.

  • Real Impact: This isn't just about learning; it's about doing. FarmCon attendees leave with actionable insights and tools that they can implement immediately. The conference aims to arm participants with the knowledge and connections needed to create thriving, modern businesses in agriculture.

As we met over 400 people who stopped by our booth we were able to have insightful conversations about buying ground, and the advantages we bring to market that are aimed at keeping dirt in the hands of farmers. We also were fortunate to visit a few other companies’ booths that are propelling the Ag Industry forward:

Meristem Crop Performance: Meristem Crop Performance indeed plays a pivotal role in modern agriculture by focusing on efficiency and innovation. Their patented BIO-CAPSULE Technology platform stands out as a groundbreaking method for delivering live, in-field biologicals directly to farmers, which helps in reducing the cost per bushel while simultaneously increasing yield. By leveraging this technology, Meristem has positioned itself as a global leader in this niche.

Croptell: The Croptell team, seasoned in agricultural finance, data science, and software, is dedicated to empowering American farmers with automated, data-driven insights. Using Artificial Intelligence they aim to enhance farm operations, planning, and tracking throughout the growing season, guiding farmers toward better ROI on their data, ultimately improving how they work and live.

Green Lightning: Green Lightning nitrogen focuses on enhancing farm profitability, boosting yields, and establishing a prosperous legacy for families and communities. Their mission is to innovate, design, and construct machinery that enables farmers to produce more food and feed with fewer resources. As they develop new technologies, they aim to build solutions for Farmers to make their own nitrogen from the atmosphere, at a mere 2% of the cost of traditional 28 and 32% UAN fertilizer.

Continuum Ag: Continuum now operates as a soil health data intelligence firm, employing its unique TopSoil tool to help farmers gain financially from enhancing their soil quality. Regenerative agriculture represents the future, offering a superior methodology for farming. The focus on low-carbon biofuels, sustainability, and various environmental achievements has drawn corporate interest. Continuum has adeptly embraced this opportunity, acting as a facilitator for cooperation between farmers and their supply chain counterparts.
